The Dr Tony Ryan Academy comprises a single storey administration building and two distinctive 18 metre high egg shaped titanium clad pods incorporating 2 lecture theatres, reading and meeting areas, seminar rooms, office space and canteen.
The complexity of the pod structures was dictated by the steel shell which formed the basis for construction in the first phase. The second phase involved intricate first fix timber members bolted to the structural steel in both horizontal and vertical planes to which the titanium was then secured.
