The Convention Centre - Dublin Docklands

The Convention Centre Dublin opened today (07/09/2010)

More than twenty years after it was proposed the Dublin convention Centre on Spencer Dock is now open and it will employ 250 full time staff.
The centre, with its distinctive design (a leaning coke can made of glass), can accommodate up to 8,000 delegates and includes a 2,000-seat auditorium and banqueting facilities for up to 3,000 people.

It was built by the Spencer Dock Development Company, led by Treasury Holdings, and will be operated as a public-private partnership.
